Early Connections is a non-profit organization that supports the future of children through early education and care. With five centers across Erie County and Union City, we strive to provide high-quality childcare and early education. Early Connections is a DHS licensed and regulated childcare facility that adheres to Keystone STARS and Pre-K Counts while incorporating Pennsylvania's Office of Child Development and Early Learning Standards for high quality childcare.
Another important facet of Early Connections is the administration of Erie's Future Fund (EFF). EFF is a preschool scholarship given to economically disadvantaged families and is administered by Early Connections partnering with up to 40 high quality early care and education centers throughout Erie County.
Additionally, Early Connections is the Northwest Pennsylvania intermediary for the Early Childhood Apprenticeship and Sponsor of the Early Childhood Pre-apprenticeship programs. Both programs are initiatives designed to fund the careers of individuals who have a passion for helping children succeed.
In the Early Childhood Apprenticeship program, apprentices are connected to early childhood education opportunities at little to not cost with the goal of earning a Child Development Associate (CDA), or additional credentials.
The Early Childhood Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed to jumpstart the careers of high school students who are interested in becoming credentialed childcare workers, connecting them to employment and higher education opportunities.
