Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) is an award-winning, week-long summer educational experience open to all current high school sophomores and juniors across Pennsylvania.
PFEW is a fun, interactive, hands-on program that brings business to life. Students learn how companies operate and compete in today's economy, exploring areas such as marketing, accounting, supply and demand, finance, and strategic decision-making. Through a dynamic business simulation, participants step into the role of executives managing a company in direct competition with other student-run teams.
Beyond business knowledge, PFEW focuses on developing critical life skills. Students strengthen their communication, leadership, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities — all while building confidence and self-esteem in a supportive, high-energy environment.
The program also provides meaningful opportunities for students to explore career paths, assess their interests, and gain skills essential for future success. Participants live on a college campus for the week, connecting with peers from across the state and experiencing a taste of independence and campus life.
PFEW is for any student — whether they already love business or simply want to challenge themselves, meet new people, and grow. It's an experience that prepares students not just for college and careers, but for leadership in whatever path they choose.
Students must be a current sophomore or junior in high school and have an educator who is willing to recommend them for attendance at the camp.
