Experience Details

Students are introduced to jobs within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Beginning with a short history of PA parks, students then engage in an interactive activity designed to familiarize them with various job opportunities within the park system. The program concludes with a review of the application process. For grades 9-12. This program can be done virtually via Zoom or TEAMS.

Experience Requirements

Grades 9-12, $3/student, can be done at the school site between November and March, can be done at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, Presque Isle State Park year-round. Can be done virtually via Zoom or TEAMS at no charge. Must book 4-6 weeks in advance depending on time of year. Lesson time is 1.5 hours and can be adjusted to fit shorter class period.
