Duration of the tour is 60min to 90 min depending on your needs and time frame. The presentation includes history, explanation Curtze Food Service and wholesale food distribution and careers involved. The dry warehouse, freezer, cooler and fresh seafood processing plant will be included in the tour. Tours that last 90min will include a tour of the fresh meat processing plant and require transportation of students to a facility across the street to the appropriate location.
Groups of 6 to 25 students grades 8 – 12 from any school in Erie County. Students must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Appropriate clothing is required (no open-toed shoes, pants and jacket required). Some pre-tour preparation is required. When scheduling, please indicate the specific topics area(s) or career fields you would like to focus on and the ages and grade levels of the student. This tour includes a fresh seafood processing room. Please let tour guide know if any participant has fresh seafood allegories.
