The salary range for this position starts at $40,014 annually with a $2,000 sign on bonus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical Mental Health field plus two years experience.
• Skills/Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of family systems therapy and developmental life cycles. Working with children who have had serious behavioral challenges preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years' proven experience providing mental health treatment required. Experience working with youth and families preferred.
• Must complete Supervisor's Training Course offered by Family Services of NW PA.
• Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
SUMMARY:
Functions as a caseworker include providing direct social services to assigned caseload, coordinates case effects with funding source and related agencies. Provides crisis service to caseload. Ability to provide after workday hours. Delivers intensive services to assigned caseloads, responding to a wide range of problems which require strong critical thinking skills, creativity, and the ability to make sound judgments regarding therapeutic interventions. Considerable day and evening driving to County areas is required. Team member is required to have valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation is essential. Team member is required to visit client's homes on a regular basis. Team member should be able to effectively manage self in crisis situations (violence, physical aggression, etc.) Position requires 24-hour on-call service. Position requires videotaped sessions. Team member must have knowledge and understanding of family systems therapy and development life cycles. In addition, team members will attend training and consultation to address sexual trauma specific treatment issues including sexual victimization treatment and the development of skills to address sexually reactive behavior, safety planning and crisis intervention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Provides all methods of therapeutic services to clients as assigned.
• Interviews assigned clients in client's home on a regular basis.
• Provides 24-hour on-call crisis service availability to assigned caseload.
• Maintains collateral relationships with other agencies, participates in case staffing and attends meetings with other funding sources as assigned by supervisor.
• Markets agency services to referral sources and general community.
• Maintains reports per agency policies.
• Maintains case records per agency policy and does so in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates coordination skills in working with families, staff and other agency personnel.
• Advocates for client and/or stimulates client to act on his/her own.
• Establishes a professional relationship with the client.
• Demonstrates an understanding of community organizations and their purposes.
• Demonstrates appropriate assertiveness skills.
• Attends a three (3) year model curriculum provided by the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center, Inc. aimed at developing the necessary knowledge base of Pennsylvania's Family Based Mental Health program. The schedule is devised by CGC of CHOP and includes two sessions each month in the Western Region (for a total of approximately 13 - 14 per year). The training will be completed upon graduation or leaving the Family Based Mental Health program.
• Participates in individual, group, peer and overall agency supervisory and staff development activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned
HSC members commit to:
· Attending monthly cohort training sessions for two years
· Completing two years of full-time employment in a targeted role, including Family Based Mental Health Services
