The salary range for this position starts at $50,000 annually with a $2,000 sign on bonus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Minimum Master's Degree in a Clinical Mental Health field plus two years post-Master's experience.
• Skills/Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of family systems therapy and developmental life cycles. Working with children who have had serious behavioral challenges preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of three years' proven experience providing mental health treatment required. Experience working with youth and families preferred.
• Must complete Supervisor's Training Course offered by Family Services of NW PA.
• Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.

SUMMARY:
Functions as a lead therapist, providing direct social services to assigned caseload, coordinates case effects with funding source and related agencies. Considerable day and evening driving to County areas is required. Team members are required to have a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation is essential. Team members are required to visit clients' homes on a regular basis. Team members should be able to effectively manage self in crisis situations (violence, physical aggression, etc.) Position requires videotaping sessions. Workers attend a three (3) year model curriculum provided by the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center aimed at developing the necessary knowledge base of Pennsylvania's Family Based Mental Health program. In addition, workers will attend training and consultation to address sexual trauma specific treatment issues including sexual victimization treatment and the development of skills to address sexually reactive behavior, safety planning and crisis intervention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Establish professional helping relationships with clients; provide clinical leadership for Family Based Mental Health Team.
• Provide an intake, assessment and closure activity that assists and uses the family's input in the development of individualized service/treatment plans.
• Conduct in-home and community-based family and individual therapy sessions requiring travel throughout the County.
• Provide 24-hour on-call crisis service availability to assigned caseload on a rotating basis.
• Maintain collateral relationships with other stakeholders and knowledge of community resources.
• Advocate for clients and/or stimulates client to act on his/her own behalf.
• Market agency services to referral sources and general community.
• Maintains case records per agency policy, as well as data needed for program accountability and billing of client services, in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


HSC members commit to:

· Attending monthly cohort training sessions for two years

· Completing two years of full-time employment in a targeted role, including Family Based Mental Health Services

Experience Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and a member of the HSC Cohort
• Masters in social work, counseling, psychology, special education, related
• Two years of experience in the CASSP system
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Eligibility for the following clearances:
• PA State Police Criminal Record Check
• Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI Fingerprint Clearances (DHS & PDE)
• Must attend WPIC Family-Based training and meet criteria
