Barber National Institute is proud to participate in the Erie County Human Services Cohorts (HSC) Initiative, offering an impactful opportunity for full-time Behavior Consultant Associate Behavior Consultant- ABA, and Behavior Consultant - ABA professionals. These roles support children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities through high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services.
In this position, you will address the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents by conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will collaborate closely with caregivers, educators, and community providers to ensure a coordinated, team-based approach that promotes meaningful and lasting progress.
These full-time positions are eligible for the HSC Initiative, which supports workforce growth and retention across Erie County's Health Choices agencies serving individuals impacted by mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and social determinants of health. As an HSC member, you will receive:

HSC members commit to:
· Attending monthly cohort training sessions for two years

Behavior Consultant - BC:
-Must be 18 years of age.
-Must be a member of the HSC Cohort
-Master's degree in a mental health field with a background in behavior modification.
-Possess an active, valid driver's license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle (reimbursed for mileage).
-Eligibility for FBI Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance.
Behavior Consultant- ABA:
-Must be 18 years of age
-Must be a member of the HSC Cohort
-This position requires one of the following qualifications:
-Behavior Specialist License (BSL)
-Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
-Graduate Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
-Graduate Degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling AND One year of full-time experience providing mental health services OR a clinical mental health direct service practicum
-Graduate degree with at least 9 credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field AND a clinical mental health direct service practicum
-Possess an active, valid driver's license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle (reimbursed for mileage).
-Eligibility for FBI Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance
Associate Behavior Consultant - ABA:
-Must be 18 years of age.
-Must be a member of the HSC Cohort
-Must have a bachelor's degree and must be enrolled in a master's program with 12 credits in Applied Behavioral Analyses.
-BCaBA certification (preferred) or willingness to pursue certification.
-Possess an active, valid driver's license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle (reimbursed for mileage).
-Eligibility for FBI Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance
