In an effort to keep the Corry Area Career and Technical Center’s high school Health Care Technology program relevant to the needs of local employers, a meeting is scheduled on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 in the Corry Area School District Administration’s Large Group Instruction Room at 540 E. Pleasant Street, Corry, PA 16407.
We hope you are able to join us. A group of 8-10 local health care professionals will volunteer one day for an informal discussion and brainstorming session. The process you will experience is called DACUM (Developing A CurriculUM). The DACUM process will provide the opportunity for you to share ideas about what health care professionals must be able to do on the job. Your group will review a Pennsylvania Program of Study Task Grid and list any additional important employee competencies. We will also ask you for advice on worker behaviors, certifications, future trends and concerns. The report developed after the workshop will guide Corry CTC in updating their high school Health Care Technology program.
Registration and a continental breakfast will occur between 8:30-9:00 a.m. We will begin our work at 9 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon.
We plan to adjourn by 3:30 p.m. Please contact our facilitator, Jan Kennerknecht at jkennerknecht@gmail.com or call (814) 490-0049 to RSVP by March 7th.
