Camp EMS is a week long program hosted by EmergyCare. This unique and exciting experience allows attendees to explore the exciting career options available in the Emergency Medical Service profession. During the 6 day 5 night program, attendees learn about the many healthcare career paths available when you become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic. Under the guidance of the most experiences EMS providers in our region, campers participate in a variety of dynamic and interactive learning sessions and have the opportunity to interact with some of the regions top ER physicians, EMT\'s, and Paramedics. Throughout the program, attendees will learn patient assessment skills, treatments for medical and trauma injuries, and crime scene preservation. Participants also learn about different rescue techniques, enjoy demonstrations from EmergyCare\'s Tactical EMS Team, Stat Medevac Helicopter, the NWPA\'s K-9 Search and Rescue Team, and will even earn their CPR certification.
To attend Camp EMS, participants must be between the ages of 14 and 17; have a sincere desire to learn about the Emergency Medical Service; be mentally, physically, and emotionally able to participate fully in all camp activities which includes mild to moderate physical activity; have permission from a parent or guardian to attend the program.
