About Erie County Public Defenders Office

The Erie County Public Defender’s Office is responsible for providing legal representation for individuals who financially qualify and are in jeopardy of losing their liberty through incarceration or involuntary mental health commitment. The office has ten full time attorneys, an office manager, two investigators, three administrative assistants and nine part time attorneys. It is a welcoming positive environment and the team regularly achieves excellent results for consumers. The 2nd Street office has off street parking.
