Experience Details

A video contest for 7th and 8th grade students at Erie and Crawford County middle schools. The contest work begins in October 2018 and ends with an Awards Ceremony in March 2019. Participating middle schools are paired with a local manufacturer to create a video showcasing cool career opportunities.

Goals of the What's So Cool About Manufacturing student video contest include: 1) changing
perceptions about manufacturing among students, teachers, and educators; 2) introducing 7th and
8th grade students to cool manufacturing jobs and career opportunities and allow them to tell a story
via educational media; and 3) making a connection between education and industry.

Experience Requirements

Middle schools and teacher coaches have already been selected for 2018/2019- please register for this experience if you are one of the identified Teacher Coaches.

If you are not currently a Teacher Coach, please reach out if interested in participating in future years.
