Experience Details

This event was created to help high school sophomores and/or juniors better understand local government. The preliminary plan is a daylong field trip which will include a walk to the county and federal court houses and city hall. The event will be based at Gannon University where students will hear from keynote speakers before visiting other locations to hear from local, state, and federal government speakers. The symposium will explore government careers and encourage students to become more involved with their communities.

Experience Requirements

The opportunity is open to senior high school students currently studying related subject areas. Schools are limited to 20 students for this event and reservations are on a first come, first served basis. RSVPs are being accepted by openings for attendance will be confirmed via email as space is available. Even if you have already been confirmed you must utilize this system to be eligible for transportation reimbursement.
